Posting Job Description Qualifications: Three plus years experience in render farm administration required, five or more years experience preferred. Specific Applications experience in Maya, RenderMan, After Effects required. Additional experience in XSI, Mental Ray, Rush, etc. preferred. Specific experience supporting Windows, OS-X, Linux, Unix operating systems required. B.S. in Computer Science or related field preferred. Successful applicant will have proven abilities in Leadership, Client Service, Teamwork, Coaching, Conflict Resolution, Financial, Job Knowledge, Verbal and Written Communication, and excellent Interpersonal, Organizational, and Analytical Skills.
Duties: A Render Administrator is needed to meet the specialized of the Effects render farm. Responsibilities include: Render Software Installation - Installing RenderMan, Maya, XSI, AfterEffects and Rush on the various render farms. Support the render needs of the CGI, Design, Composite, and Edit groups, as well as Cartoon Network Productions. Render License Administration - Upgrading and maintaining current licenses for all render software. Render Farm Hardware Set-Up and Maintenance - Installation and system maintenance of CPUs to ensure machines stay online and production-ready. Daily Support for Render Systems - Troubleshooting failed renders and render nodes to maintain production deadlines. Vendor Communication - Resolve support issues and technical problems with hardware and software vendors. Interaction with Production Teams - Communicating with CGI, Design, Composite, and Edit departments for system planning, expansion and support needs.
