Development and execution of story ideas. Assign stories to photographers and reporters. Aggressive approach to breaking stories ahead of the competition. Build reliable/consistent contacts. Track news crews and vehicles. Short and long-range planning. Manage information flow from fax, emails and phone calls.
Minimum 3 years newsroom experience, supervisory role and producer vision/experience preferred. Ability to keep up with current events. Strong organizational and communication skills. Able to make strong decisions under pressure. Able to multi-task.
Must be reliable and a team player.
