Production Director
Free Speech TV is seeking to hire a Production Director to lead a dedicated crew of paid staff, volunteers, and an international network of commissioned videographers in the production of original television content, as well as fundraising and promotional content.
Qualifications:
• Record of developing and producing hard-hitting film, video or television content about social, political, cultural or environmental issues. A sample reel will be required of final candidates.
• Experience producing live television, particularly on-air fundraising drives.
• Resourcefulness in achieving professional results with grassroots budgets.
• Video editing experience, including familiarity with the FinalCut Pro editing systems.
• Familiarity with the independent media field, including contacts with producers across the country.
• Demonstrated commitment to progressive activism. Familiarity with current social, political, cultural, and environmental issues, and with the organizations working on these issues.
• Communication, management, and training skills, including the ability to work closely with staff, volunteers, production crew, and partnering organizations.
• Organizational and multi-tasking skills, dedication, and resourcefulness to meet multiple deadlines.
• Ability to work collegially with other staff and partners to achieve common objectives.
The Production Director reports to the General Manager. Salaried position with a benefits package including health, dental and vision insurance, as well as pension.
