CATALOG DESIGN & PRODUCTION COORDINATOR
for the
28th San Francisco International Lesbian & Gay Film Festival
NATURE OF THE POSITION
The Festival Catalog Design and Production Coordinator is responsible for the layout,
typesetting, design and production of the Festival Catalog and related, supplemental publications. This is a temporary position as described in Frameline''''s employee handbook. The position is supervised by the Festival Operations Director.
POSITION TIMEFRAME
1. February 16 - February 28, 2004 part time hours
2. March 1 - May 15, 2004 full time hours
3. Work schedules require expanded hours and flexibility during peak periods
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Manage catalog production
2. Create production timeline including scheduling copy/art deadlines
3. Create ad spec sheet
4. Design, layout, typesetting and production of catalog
5. Scan, format and touch-up program/editorial images
6. Check all incoming ad materials for adherence to ad specs
7. Manage internal proofing
8. Prepare catalog files for print
9. Coordinate with print broker regarding catalog artwork and
production (ie. delivery to printer; proofing bluelines/ matchprints)
10. Design, layout, typesetting and production of supplemental
publications (ie. Festival Mini-Guide).
11. Create outreach flyer template, general signage template, and specific ticket price/policy signage.
