PA 2 - Grunt worker for early preprod
Lots of organizing, researching, scheduling, and administrating.
NOVEMBER, DECEMBER, AND JANUARY (MAYBE MORE). You will need to meet with me initially and do some of the early work at my office for a few times, but then can do much of what is needed remotely by phone and email, until production starts and you will need to be on location. Most of everything will occur in and around Frisco Texas (specifically where SH 289 Preston road intersects US Highway 380).
Using Microsoft Word and Excel. Email.
Organizing headshots/resumes into binders for cast, crew, and production.
Arranging a few location shoots.
Checking on/securing music usage approvals.
Researching rights to display products.
Announcing, scheduling, and conducting auditions.
Coordinating crew jobs.
Checking on product usage/references.
Inquiring on and procuring production equipment.
Logging and organizing all of your work for the above.
Other things needed but not listed.
This job might require 10 to 20 hours per week at first. Whoever signs on and follows through will have first shot as 1st PA.
This job could possibly be split between two or three people who are dedicated.
This will be a great resume builder, but there is no payment of any kind (unless the film is picked up and distributed some day, hopefully). Do not respond/apply if you are not prepared to work hard and stick with it. If you start off working but then quit, you will be in breech of contract and will forfeit any opportunity for future deferred payment or credits and recognition of any kind.
If you decide to accept this mission, you will be challenged. Although I will work you hard, the good news is that I like for work to be fun and educational, and that I like to give credit where it is due. If you end up participating, I believe that in the end you will be very glad you did.
