The PSA was made for Futures Internatinal then Constella Futures aimed at creating awareness about basket of contraceptives in semi-rural and rural India. The film took the route of the ritual of applying Mehndi(Henna) on the night before the marriage.
The Story-While womenfolk sing and dance and men decorate the house, the bride's sister-in-law applies Mehndi on the bride's hand. The bride's elder brother married to the sister-in-law looks at the design appreciatively and walks away. The bride appreciates their healthy realtionship. The sister-in-law attributes the reason for her happy married life to taking all domestic decisions after discussion and mutual concent. Even in the case of family planning and the mode ensuring healthy mother & child and in turn a healthy nation.
