About

Fertilizer use in Africa remains startlingly low compared to other regions. 80% of what we eat in Africa is produced by smallholder farmers, farmers who survive on less than $5 a day. AFAP is committed to raising awareness on fertilizer’s role in reducing the yield gap, driving agricultural development and raising the profitability of smallholder farmers , helping Africa become the future breadbasket of the world. This documentary was filmed over 10 days throughout Mozambique, Tanzania and Ghana. To save time and minimise official interference we chose to film with a pair of SonyA7s cameras decked out with Sony Zeiss lenses and contained in camera cages. Cameras were set to Slog2 and footage was later graded. As a Johannesburg - South Africa - based production company we specialise in filming on the African continent.
