In this interview Mike talks with Tery about the new Ki Pro Ultra 4K Video Recorder/Player, as well as their extensive range of converters and recorders.
Ki Pro Ultra is a next generation file-based 4K/UltraHD/2K/HD video recorder and player with a built-in HD LCD monitor; capable of capturing edit-ready Apple ProRes files in a range of video formats and frame rates up to 4K 60p. Ki Pro Ultra offers flexible input and output connectivity including 3G-SDI, HDMI and even Fiber, for powerful and efficient large-raster and high-frame rate workflows. Designed to be both portable with a built in carry handle or rack-mountable with half-rack wide 2RU high dimensions, Ki Pro Ultra suits a wide range of production and post environments.
Ki Pro Ultra captures directly to rugged and reliable AJA Pak SSD media. Pak media is available in a variety of capacities to best suit the demands of your production. Pak1000 is the perfect companion for Ki Pro Ultra offering 1TB of fast SSD media for up to 4K recording at 60p in ProRes HQ. Ki Pro Ultra also offers compatibility with Pak512 and Pak256 media, ideal for lower frame rate projetcs.
The new FS3 combines AJA’s industry-proven frame synchronization with high-quality 4K up-conversion technology to seamlessly integrate SD and HD signals into 4K workflows. AJA’s adaptive scaling algorithms, paired with our well-known conversion technology ensures your up-converted images will have the maximum quality possible. Input HD resolution SDI via BNC or Fiber and send up-converted 4K/UHD to multiple BNC and Fiber outputs simultaneously. The FS3 can also operate as an SD or HD frame synchronizer. FS3 also includes the industry-proven features included in AJA frame synchronizers such as RGB color correction, region of interest scaling, extensive audio controls and routing, web UI control, GPI triggers and more.
The HB-T-SDI and HB-R-SDI offer an easy solution for extending 3G-SDI signals over Ethernet cable, utilizing the industry standard HDBaseT protocol. Bi-directional IR and RS-232 for device control is also supported, making these Mini-Converters ideal in a variety of scenarios including: fixed installation AV, digital signage, live events, post production, network, studio environments and on set. These new SDI-based converters can be “mixed and matched” with AJA’s already introduced HDMI-based HDBaseT Mini-Converters, allowing customized video I/O on either end of the Ethernet connection.
AJA Video Systems unveiled v1.2 firmware for its CION 4K/UltraHD and 2K/HD professional production camera. The field-upgradeable software update brings CION users around the world additional image improvements, new features and several other enhancements.
