Two minute taste of my work in both animation and live-action film.
Breakdown:
"Army of Frogs" Trailer is based on the Kulipari kids book series. The trailer screened theatrically nationwide before "The Hunger Games - MockingJay: Part I". I was hired as an Animation Clean-up Lead, overseeing the rough redesign/revisions, inks, and color between myself and other animators.
Animated in ToonBoom Harmony and Photoshop.
"How To: The Ikea Way" is a 2D animated short in homage to the characters and aesthetic of Ikea furniture assembly instructions. In this style, I expressed my own comedic experiences with the Swedish furniture.
Animated in Flash and composited in After Effects.
"TopHats" (Working Title) is an 2D animated short based on a series of paintings by David Gildersleeve. The story follows a group of top-hatted gentlemen amidst the rainy fog of London, particularly focused on the exploits of one gentlemen and his attempt to express his own individuality amidst the group mentality.
Designed in Illustrator; animated in Flash and composited in After Effects.
"10-Second Love Story" is a 2D animated short reflecting the awkward nature of relationships in a rather compressed time-frame. The aesthetic pays homage to Ryan Woodward's "Thought of You".

"Life Through Art" is a rotoscoped animation of myself playing guitar on live recording depicting artistic expression granting release from the burdens of life. The piece includes frame-by-frame silhouette animation in coupled with other graphic elements.

"Trapped" documents the hardships of not being a "morning person" coupled with the predicament of large dog ownership.

"Skyrider" is part of a larger concept/character creation depicting a world of floating island and a curious young engineer who fashions boards to circumnavigate the skies.

"Patrianarchy" depicts the well deserved justice for public displays of domestic abuse.

"Strength of Books" follows a studious teenager as he confronts bullies with not but the books to which he clings.

"Vigilante-in-Training" shows the perspective of a home grown hero and her rocky beginnings when an attempt to stop a car chase does not go as planned.

"Heard" is the Thesis film for my MFA in Animation from SCAD-Atlanta, following a frustrated artist's journey through his own artistic development. At the climax of his quest he battles a giant with nothing more than his bass guitar.
