About
One from the vault, this project was a particularly special for us to edit.
We saw a posting for a contest for editing a music video for the band Wreckage’s new album “Steel Standing”. It had been years since we cut a music video so we decideded to enter.
It was Produced by Lowell Brillante and Directed by Nicholas Bertram. The Director pf Photography was Josh Nealey. We were provided with the synced audio track to the master reference video track. From there we replaced the reference track and added in the cut aways of the band members. After which, we did some color correction.
We had full creative control as long as we stuck to the guidelines. Which were fairly simple, highlite the band in a creative way while keeping with a traditional music video feel.
It was over a week in the editing room before our cut was ready to submit. After a week of review our edit took 3rd place out of over 300 enteries. Needless to say we are pretty proud of this one and it remains one of our favorites. Though we have listened to this song over a thousand times, we still play it in the office a few times a month. It’s a great song.
