It’s hard to describe to others what it’s like to be out at sea. And while each person’s experience is different, we all tend to miss something when away from home for so long. In this narrative we explore a few of the things sailors told us they missed the most while deployed. Yet, while each one of us misses something or someone, we all share the same desire for a brighter safer future. Our goal is to share that desire with as many sailors as possible so that together we can continue moving the Navy in the right direction­­ towards one of energy independence.
