About
Thriller by Michael Jackson, performed by Red Hot Blue (Goucher College co-ed a capella group). Filmed at the Haebler Memorial Chapel on October 31st, 2012 during John Czeczulin's "A Symphony of the Night: Halloween Concert."
Technical Info
This was filmed with two Canon XL-2s and one Canon XL-1 on Mini DV tape. (The overhead view and the stage view are the XL-2s, while the moving camera is the XL-1. Yes, this was the most advanced camera equipment Goucher College had available at the time of this filming.) No boom mics or other sort of practical sound equipment was available or accessible, and there were only a couple of lapel mics available, so the shotgun mic on the camera was used - and overall the sound was recorded better than expected. This was edited in Final Cut Pro 7. The cameras were set up by myself (David L. Lebovitz), who was also operating the handheld camera. Cora Potter operated the overhead camera.
