Catalyst Prepare has several modes like, Import Mode, which enables browsing of media across multiple devices. Connect cameras, decks, and card readers, and preview clips in detail. Copy all media, selected media, or portions of selected media to production drives and backup drives. Create full camera card backups with strong checksum verification, and rest assured that you have perfect copies of your assets before reformatting. In Organize Mode, create project-specific libraries and folders; rename files and move them between folders; create, render, and export storyboards; and upload media to Ci, the cloud-based media production workspace by Sony. While Export Mode, lets you finish what your doing, by exporting to another NLE, transcode footage or send to Catalyst Edit.

With Catalyst Edit you pick up right where you left off in Catalyst Prepare without dropping a frame or missing a beat. Together as the Catalyst Production Suite, they create a flowing integration that provides you with a seamless and fast workflow.
