About
I am a house coach for Hallmark Hall of Fame Productions, and FRONT OF THE CLASS is probably my favorite film with them. The job was to coach the dialect of Tourette Syndrome for both the younger and older actors playing Brad Cohen, a real-life teacher with severe Tourette Syndrome. My clients needed to sound accurate, like each other, and like the real Brad! Sensitively and beautifully directed by Peter Werner, the story of Brad and his triumph touched all of us working on the film.
For me, "unpacking" the sound of Tourette Syndrome; discovering its nuances and motivations; and allowing it to amplify and deepen the inspirational tale we were telling was an honor indeed.
Take a look and you'll see why!
