In this short film I wanted to explore the existential concepts of pressure and isolation. I also wanted to create something with a heavy Steampunk influence, which is a subgenre I've always been fascinated by. Once we initially storyboarding the short it became obvious that the only way to really tell this story would be to film on location in a real abandoned factory. After a lot of scouting we eventually found McLouth Steel Mill in Detroit, which was exactly what we were looking for.
