Taking a different approach to solving and bringing awareness to global poverty issues, RePlan It is an entertaining, enlightening, and uplifting public television series that demonstrates how basic science and ingenuity can empower people around the world. Media coverage of global poverty is often disheartening and focuses on problems rather than solutions. Alternatively, RePlan It shows how the use of simple, ingenious solutions can combat the hardships faced by millions each day. American audiences will watch as the Full Belly team builds universal nut-shellers in Kenya; school desks that double as beds for emergency shelters in India; solar-powered hand-cart water pumps in Haiti; and much more.
RePlan It follows Brandis and his team of unorthodox experts as they head to some of the most remote and underserved locations on the planet. In each episode, Full Belly project team members visit a different community in need. From Africa to India to South America and even the United States, we will watch as the Full Belly team gets to know each community and the daily challenges they face. During these journeys, the team will come to understand not only the limitations of the locations but the unrealized opportunities as well. The solutions they develop and unveil will powerfully impact local communities and inspire viewers to want to improve their own communities.
