Black Box Theater is a totally black room. Very stark and dramatic; the only lighting are pin spots aimed down where the audience sits. As you enter and sit for a moment, you are pulled into the darkness and silence. This is a very special place where wondrous things happen, where visions come to life, and the impossible becomes possible through our own special blend of imagination and innovation.
It is, in fact, the meeting place of conceptual magic and technical wizardry. It might sound like we’re describing Harry Potter’s alma mater, Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry, but this is MIG’s very own school of wizards, Creative U. And getting there is half the fun! With a swipe of an RFID card we see plexi panels, moving lights, LED panels, 60 MicroTiles, and an image mapping wall, all come to life before our eyes. As our main screen animates we move through the clouds to reveal Creative U. There are ten buildings on our campus and they rise up through the clouds and mist. When the music ends and the images settle we are ready to start our journey.
