An interview from the 2014 National Association of Broadcasters Convention in Las Vegas with Jesse Rosen of AbelCine. In this interview Jesse talks with us about their line of Resolution Analysis Charts, and a full line of optical adapters co-designed by AbelCine and IB/E Optics, highlighted by two product additions: the HDx1.4 and the PLx1.4 Extender. Also displayed is The Universal Mount System (UMS) which allows quick and easy changing of camera mounts on an IB/E lens adapter such as the HDx35 Mark II, HDx2 Mark II, PLx2 2x Extender.
Jesse Rosen, AbelCine’s Director of Technical Development, actually designed the charts, beginning with extensive research on what to measure, the many patterns and designs to consider, and evaluating what worked and what didn’t. The Resolution Analysis Charts, designed specifically for digital cinema, provide easier and more accurate focusing, while revealing the resolution and optical characteristics of the lens/camera combination.
