In this interview Brian talks with us about a range of products they were showing off at NAB, including the Retroflex rig, the One Man Crew & the Clamp-on Adapter for the microMatteBox.
The RetroFlex rig also includes the 3x Optical Viewfinder, which allows for a clear view of the screen under all shooting conditions. The Optical Viewfinder is attached to the Cage for Pocket Cinema Camera via rare-earth magnets and an integrated mounting frame that prevents light leakage. The Optical Viewfinder also features an integrated adjustable diopter, rendering a tack-sharp image for any user.
The One Man Crew is the perfect addition to small crews doing interviews and relying on fast setups and great images. Use on the main camera when alone for a high-end production feel, or use with a second camera for cutting between shots with beautiful high quality movement. Use more than one One Man Crew in multi-camera shoots for getting those extra shots that make the difference.
The Clamp-on Adapter replaces the microMatteBox rear bellows with a universal clamp-on bracket supporting lenses with front outside diameters up to 136mm. With the clamp-on adapter, the microMatteBox no longer needs rail support to be attached to a rig. This makes the microMatteBox perfect for ENG style shooting or any setup looking to shed some weight. The conversion is not permanent, so you can switch between clamp-on and swing-away, whatever your shooting style and production requires.
