Antipater Production's "Decay", an award-winning dramatic short written, produced and directed by my former SDSU graduate student, Luke Brown. "Decay" won awards at the Edinburgh horror film festival "Dead by Dawn" and also at "LA Short Film" in 2012
Paying careful attention to blocking, lighting, use of filtration, keen attention to depth of field, providing separation between talent and backgrounds/foregrounds and using longer lenses were techniques we used to overcome the "HD look" of the Panasonic HVX.

Technical Info
Luke and I co-produced this short as an exercise to show the viability of even the early HD camcorders like the Panasonic HVX to capture a "film look", despite the problems inherent to the small-sized imagers.
