As the video team lead for Vibrant Response I wanted to move away from the traditional Combat Camera approach of interview focused documentaries. I wanted to rely specifically on the b-roll and natural sound to tell as much of the story as possible. Unlike most exercises ComCam shoots, we were embedded with the Task Force as if an incident had occurred, and we were deployed to document the response. Having to work as a "player" was definitely a challenge, but I'm happy with the results.
