Ted Schilowitz, President of RED Digital Cinema, reviews a few new RED digital motion picture cameras and accessories introduced at IBC 2012. Together, the RED TOUCH 5.0" and RED TOUCH 9.0" LCD camera display monitors allow the videographer easy access to camera parameters, including zoom, focus, and exposure settings. Both touch screens can operate one RED camera simultaneously with the use of the RED PRO I/O MODULE, which serves as a second monitor port. The OUTRIGGER HANDLE and TACTICAL CAGE accessories can also aid in mounting and controlling a RED camera. And the new MEIZLER MODULE provides wireless control of all of the functions of a RED camera lens, eliminating multiple messy cables to help streamline the production environment. The MEIZLER MODULE also allows for multiple recording options, including the ability to record to a REDMAG SSD card and a smaller REDMAG mini SSD card at the same time.
