About

Leigh Herman, Director of Business Development for Sony Creative Software, reviews Vegas Pro 12, a new addition to the Pro line of Sony Creative's audio and video content creation software. The Vegas Pro 12 editing system features the ability to exchange projects with other popular editing platforms including Adobe Premiere, Adobe After Effects, Final Cut Pro, and Pro Tools. Additionally, Vegas Pro 12 allows for the ingest of native P2 media and the expanded edit mode allows for quick, very precise edits that provide frame by frame trimming. Comprehensive S-log workflow capabilities and HDCAMSR mastering also provide multiple project ingest and encoding options. And the color match feature allows for the color matching of two or more clips to help maintain the visual consistency of an edit.
