This is a marketing, advertising and image video created for artist Gary Welton.
The goal of this project was to create a video as beautiful and elegant as Gary's paintings.
Using a ballerina and the stage at the stunning Southern Theatre in Minneapolis, the dancer danced and the artist painted -- and we captured that "moment in time" with the camera on a small jib, a tripod and being handheld.
During post-production, shot selections of elegant moves and intimacy were essential in connecting the viewer to the dancer and artist. Just as important, were the selections of the perfect music bed and voice-over artist.
The client (Gary Welton) debuted this video during an expose art showing on an Princess Cruise Line Australian trip in January 2012.
