Hey, this commercial is for the huf contest. (Directed and Edited by vladdy)It was shot with a HD 720 Sony Handycam by my girlfriend and I. I also mixed my own song of three of madvillain instrumentals My idea for this vision was to give you a story of walking in my shoes in New York city for one day. I put together a raw New York, Bronx vibe to it because thats where I'm from. The first shot you see is ,my feet ,the establishing shot. Its shaking with the beat in black and white, to give it a creepy look. The second shot is of a fire pump blasting out water. I shot that at my block. It was 3:00 in the morning and there was a black out only on my block, you only see this in the bronx. The next shot is me skating down a old underground train station stop at 205 street getting ready to shred a spot going somewhere around New York city . The next shot is a CU of my wheel spinning and camera rotating, as the song is DJing. The next shot are shoes on the wire at fordham road showing the ghetto vibe. I also wanted to show these shoes because this is what its all about. The next shot is a tricky quick one of my shoes all rip up. Then it is followed by me skating doing the same body motion of the sign above the right corner of the screen. Meaning skate don't walk. The next shot is a weird split screen. To the left is me throwing the BX sign. To the right is a CU of me laughing with a evil laugh with it. Meaning the bronx is evil. For the next shot i was going to have the bronx highway sign with my face but i wanted to be more abstract. So i put fire escapes and fire trucks lights meaning the bronx. If you don't know the bronx was at a state of emergency because there were so many fires in the bronx. The next shots i wanted it to come out of nowhere and surprise the audience a little. Its me standing up and putting this mask over my face. Meaning this wall is actually a gang and like a gang there unidentified thats why I wear the mask.( Relax im not in a gang) So the gang tag this wall so i freeze frame it and tag myself a dirtbag because just like keith said "everyone has there dirty secrets, Everyone is a dirtbag in someway". The next shot is me doing a switch wall ride. I want this shot to be raw and simple just like the old skate vids back in the days like keith old footage. Instead of having a slow motion shot of a flip in flip out trick and doing a 360 flip in a line. I wanted mine different. The next shot was shot in the 12 floor in the gun hill projects. I wanted to show the train looking like it is coming out of the building and i overlay it with the windows of the train. The next shot is of a project building overlay with me walking in a tunnel almost looking like I'm going in a different dimension. The next shot is quick and I'm going out of my window. And the last shot is of me sitting on the gun hill platform overseeing what I just shredded overlaying it with a night shot of the same view meaning I do this day and night. I want the audience to have there own interpretation. I describe it a little for you can see my thoughts of it and understand it after you see it, to compare yours with mine.
