Venom and Fire

About

This is a short documentary produced for the 2012 International Documentary Challenge where it won best director and best original score. It explores the world of snake and fire handling churches in Appalachia.

Technical Info

All footage was shot with Canon's 5D and 7D DSLRs. The slow motion shots were taken with the 7D at 60fps and slowed using Cinema Tools to pull it down to 24fps. The project was edited in Final Cut Pro and the graphic was created in Adobe After Effects. All shooting and editing was done between 3/1/12 and 3/5/12.
