About

An Image Cannot Be Static was originally an art installation project conceived by Tampa Bay artist and composer Christopher Costabile of The Grand Hotel Aybss. He wanted to capture the sights and sounds of an artwork unfolding before the viewer's eyes. Painter Corey DeLise agreed to create a new five-paneled piece on film. The result is this experimental short, which ran at different speeds on three televisions behind the displayed paintings at the Artpool Gallery in St. Petersburg, Florida and was an Official Selection by the 2009 Tampa Independent Film Festival.
