Lee is traveling from East Glacier, Montana to Boston, Massachusetts by covered wagon and pulled by a team of 6 horses. His journey will take up to six months to complete. He relies heavily upon the help of friends and the people he meets upon the way to help him manage the very heavy workload. In this video, Lee talks about his mode of transportation as well as some of the hardships along the way.
This video is an installment to a monthly series I shoot, 60 Seconds. 60 Seconds is basically a NAT sound feature... news-like story telling thats relies only on the available sound to tell a story. I come from a TV news background and feature NAT sound pieces were my favorite storytelling mode.
These stories are simple in production but big on story. I spend about 2 hours shooting and not more than 6 hours in post. They keep me sharp and help me continue to develop as a video storyteller.
