About

Urban Kool” profiles the fascinating world of urban living in Nairobi. This documentary takes you back to the past to highlight how different the youth of the yesteryears are compared to the youth of today. Our cameras follow key insiders like iconic DJs, legendary radio presenters, artists to bring you the 411 on urban youth living in Nairobi from the 1960’s to the present time.
The documentary then focuses on the current youth generation, Generation Y, to uncover their psyche, to understand what their concerns are and most importantly to know how they want to be communicated to as consumers.
Love them or hate them, the youth endorse and build brands or ignore and kill them. They are hip, trendy and well informed. The film underscores how marketers can align their brand communication with urban-cool concepts like entertainment to attract and retain the youth market for brand-building. This is the new approach to youth consumer engagement - Branded Entertainment
