About Us
Manitoba Film & Sound was originally created as a partnership between the federal and provincial governments under the name of CIDO (Cultural Industries Development Office) in 1987 to provide support to Manitoba''s film, video and sound recording industries. In 1992 the agency became a not-for-profit corporation with the sole funding received from the Department of Culture, Heritige and Tourism. Manitoba Film & Sound''s mission is to promote Manitoba''s film and sound recording artists and industries at home and to the world.
