Florida Southern College

About Us

Welcome to Florida Southern’s Communication Department. Here you will find a variety of options for study in the field of Communication. Communication is a rapidly expanding professional area with a demand for qualified people who can write, speak, use media technology, and effectively interact and communicate with others. Our goal is to guide you in becoming a professional who can produce clear, coherent, meaningful messages that are understood and acted upon by your audience or public.

At FSC, you can prepare to be part of this fast-paced field through a concentration in News Media, Advertising or Public Relations. You’ll find that FSC’s liberal arts tradition, academic integrity and commitment to “hands-on” learning create the ideal setting for your career or graduate work preparation.
