A frontier mountain town,
that has stood the test of time.
Hill City has deep roots into the formation of the western South Dakota. The second established town in the Black Hills, Hill City filled over night with prospectors looking for their fortunes. Then deserted when the gold miners headed for Deadwood. The town was filled with cabins, but nonetheless deserted.
