Rhode Island International Film Festival

About Us

Now in its eighth year, the RHODE ISLAND INTERNATIONAL FILM FESTIVAL celebrates the independent spirit in film and takes place August 10-15th in Providence and locations throughout Rhode Island.
The largest film festival in New England, RIIFF has become a haven for independent filmmakers from throughout the world and is a qualifier in the Short Films Awards List for the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences (the Oscars) - the only Festival in New England.
In 2003, the Festival presented 25 World Premieres and 23 U.S. Premieres to sold-out houses. Films came from 45 countries and 32 states. Attending the Festival were more than 200 filmmakers. The Festival is dedicated to the creation of opportunities for artistic interaction and exchange among independent filmmakers, directors, producers and the film-going public.
Don't miss this opportunity to rub shoulders with celebrities, actors, directors and producers at one of the most accessible and relaxed film events this year.
