About Us

Advanced Camera Systems was founded in 1988 as an equipment marketing company, specializing in equipment which is used in motion picture and television production. The first product offered was a remote focus device for use with a hand held camera stabilizer called PogoCam. In 1991, ACS purchased a company called Continental Camera Systems, which had been manufacturing and marketing aircraft mounted camera systems since 1972. Bob Nettman was the chief engineer of that company and his genius was instrumental in developing the highly successful Master Helicopter Mount, the Helicopter Chin Mount and the Bodycam. Those products are now part of the ACS product offering. ACS continues to search for new products to represent, and designs and manufactures other new products and devices.
