Austin Gay & Lesbian International Film Festival

About Us

The Austin Gay and Lesbian International Film Festival (aGLIFF) celebrates another year as the largest gay and lesbian film festival in the Southwest. aGLIFF continues its mission to exhibit high-quality gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgender films and videos that enlighten, educate, and entertain since 1987.

In its first year, the festival included only five films screened over seven evenings. By 2000, the festival had grown to include 150 films and videos from 20 countries. In 2003, attendance reached a record breaking 16,000. The Austin Gay and Lesbian International Film Festival is THE largest gay and lesbian cultural event in Austin.

aGLIFF operates the Gay Youth Media (GYM) Project, where we teach GLBTQ youth how make movies, and My Gay Movie, which teaches and encourages adults to make and distribute short films with a queer sensibility.
