About Us

The Beaufort Regional Film Commission is a four county regional group organized to promote the film friendly area of Beaufort, Jasper, Colleton, and Hampton Counties. The purpose of the Commission is to serve as a facilitator for on-location filmmakers and other media specialists by offering production companies a complete range of preproduction services through a single point of contact. The Beaufort Regional Film Commission is always ready to serve industry professionals and will respond to requests in a timely fashion. The region of Beaufort is located at the south tip of South Carolina and is best known for it''s net-draped shrimp harbors, billowing seas of marsh grass, and palmetto-lined beachfront which have provided the backdrops for such feature films as Forrest Gump, The Prince of Tides, The Big Chill and many more.
