Founded in 1997 by Harry Hanbury, Parrhesia Pictures, Inc., has produced a large a body of documentary film and video for the Discovery Channel, TLC, and several Hollywood studios, as well as for progressive non-profit and advocacy organizations like the Center for Community Change, the Campaign for America''s Future, the Sexual Minority Youth Assistance League, ACORN, and GenderPAC. Parrhesia is a small but full-service production, post-production, and distribution company. The word "parrhesia" is ancient Greek and is loosely translated as "fearless speech."
