About Us

With its unique laser technology,
LVT has modernized the world of subtitling.
Clarity and precision on the big screen.

In 1986 Denis Auboyer founded LVT (Laser Subtitling), the originator of laser engraving for film subtitling. The film industry was introduced to this technological breakthrough at the 1988 Cannes Film Festival where Warner Bros. and Clint Eastwood presented Bird as the first film to be subtitled by this process.

15 years later, with 12 Palmes d''Or subtitled by the company and the opening of a New York office in 1994 (the only laser machine on the East Coast), LVT continues to innovate thanks to its Monal software that subtitles films in all ''complex'' languages (Chinese - simplified and traditional, Japanese, Korean, Cyrillic, Arabic, Hebrew...) and provides a link with ''digital'' images.
