Formed in 1995 by Peter Sands who wrote, produced and directed ''Blacktop Afternoon''. This 15 minute short live action film went on to qualify for the 68th Academy Awards®, screen worldwide and sell internationally. With this first success VisionFire Films continued to seek project material for development and production.
In 1997 Anna Scott joined the company, writing and producing the award winning ''Coming Into Money'' which Peter directed. Completed in the summer of 1998, this 22 minute comedy noir has won 5 international film festival awards and can be seen now both at Movieflix.com and Atom-bomb.com!
VisionFire Films is currently in pre-production with ''Angel''s Freeway'' - a cutting edge romantic drama set in Los Angeles - scheduled for principal photography in Sept 2000. Anna''s critically acclaimed play ''Chasing Chekhov'' has been adapted for the screen and is also set for filming this fall.
