About Us
York/Maverick Entertainment is known as somewhat of a phenomenon in the home entertainment industry. Since the pairing of film producer Tanya York's York Entertainment with former Blockbuster Entertainment buyer Doug Schwab's Maverick Entertainment in 1997, the company has experienced unprecedented growth. Going from releasing 28 films in 1998 to 45 in 1999, the year 2000 has seen the company double its release slate while simultaneously launching its DVD and film production divisions.
