For the last twenty years, EMMY Award winning sports producer / director Ira Opper has been traveling the globe to exotic outposts to capture the action, personalities and the culture of surfing.

In 1995, Ira teamed up The Surfer’s Journal to create The Surfer’s Journal TV series for The Outdoor Life Network, and has produced over 50 shows to date. Said in a recent review in SURFER Magazine, ''This series oozes with surf stoke, history and love for the sport of surfing. It should be required viewing for anyone who sets foot on fiberglass.''

Over the last two decades Ira Opper has created and collected the most comprehensive film and video library on the sport of surfing. That library is now available to the public through SurfHistory.com.
