About Us
The Global Film Institute (G.F.I.) is a sponsored project of Independent Feature Project/New York and is in the process of applying for a 501-(c) (3) non-profit status. The organization was established in 2004 to foster multicultural understanding through the powerful medium of film. Specifically, G.F.I. is dedicated solely to the presentation of foreign films in the U.S. that normally would not be seen theatrically, or on television, video, DVD or otherwise.
