About Us
Big Motion Pictures Limited is an independent film and television production company based in Chester, Nova Scotia. Having worked together on series such as Black Harbour and North of 60, partners Wayne Grigsby and David MacLeod launched the company in 1999 with the TV movie Task Force, a Nova Scotia/Québec co-production starring Alex Carter and Clark Johnson for Canada''s Global Network. Shot in Halifax and Montreal, Task Force was inspired by the true story of one of the largest drug busts in Canadian history.
